MONTEITH FARMSTEAD
A 16-acre park with playground, fishing pier, walking trail, public parking and public restrooms. Shuttle service stop during events. Future plans call for an amphitheater and performing arts center. (see map insert)

Kayak on Tuck

TUCKASEIGEE RIVER
Dillsboro sits on Scotts Creek and the Tuckaseigee River, which runs the length of Jackson County. Fishing is a favorite activity on the Tuck. The river is filled with native and stocked trout and there are numerous spots and secret fishing holes. You can check out the regulations online, and even get your license online before your visit.

Western Carolina University is a major four year college that has partnered with Dillsboro to meet the needs of the local community. WCU has a state of the art performance center and is the home to Mountain Heritage Museum.
