Visit Historic Dillsboro YESTERDAY'S VILLAGE
...TODAY

You could spend a month vacationing in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. Dillsboro is just a short drive from it all!

There are mountains for waterfalls and hiking. There are rivers for kayaking and whitewater rafting. And there are rushing mountain streams for world-class trout fishing.

North Carolina's top three attractions — Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Asheville's Biltmore Estate and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park — are all within minutes of Dillsboro; as is Western Carolina University.

And everywhere you look, there's the indescribable beauty of the southern Appalachian mountains. It's the ultimate change-of-pace.

Kayak on Tuck

TUCKASEIGEE RIVER
Dillsboro sits on Scotts Creek and the Tuckaseigee River, which runs the length of Jackson County. Fishing is a favorite activity on the Tuck. The river is filled with native and stocked trout and there are numerous spots and secret fishing holes. You can check out the regulations online, and even get your license online before your visit.
