Visit Historic Dillsboro Experience the heart of the
North Carolina Mountains

A woman quilting. You can walk the entire length of Dillsboro in less than five minutes. But few people actually do. There are too many tempting distractions along the way. Each quaint little shop — some are more than 100 years old — offers a different temptation.

There are shops with cheeses, coffees, chocolates and confections. There are shops devoted to the arts and crafts of the Smokies. There are fashion boutiques, home furnishings stores, and the town's venerable General Store with its old-fashioned soda fountain.

Many of Dillsboro's gift shops and galleries focus on local artisans; and some are working artisan's studios where visitors can watch work in progress and talk to the artisans.
Dillsboro is not a developer's creation. It's the genuine thing, as it has been for more than century.
